Honestly, I doubt it from Lucky so n so. The end of the third season did have tons of build-up with Stannis going to the Wall. Hodors mentioned it alot over the off-season, it's just the action here is so good that they're forgetting about it. If there weren't books, I think that we'd be intelligent enough to know that this is Stannis' inevitable destination.

They showed him bulging out his eyeballs and then his head smashed in at the end. I think it'd be a bit overkill, not to mention unneccessary and require a bit more special effects in order to show it. I'm glad they didn't show the full extent of it.
