I agree that Grandma Tyrell, Varys, and the Fool are all looking like the perps right now. However, I always get extremely suspicious when the show hits you over the head with clues.
So let's talk about Tywin. He has shown in the past to be ruthless, even in dealing with family members, to accomplish something. What does he have to gain with Joffrey's death?
Is it possible that he and Jaime planned this? Jaime's comments to Ser Buttpirate make it seem like he know something was about to go down. And Joffrey has been treating him like shite since his return.
Anyhow, those are just some thoughts to steer the conversation away from the fact that we all know Granny did it. What do you think, Hodors?

Tyrion makes a little sense because he would want to protect his wife.
The fool is the key. Who would want to protect Sansa?
Grandma, what does she gain from protecting her? Is the necklace evidence?

Well, if Sansa disappeared, then they could frame it to look like revenge. So they aren't protecting her, necessarily, so much as they are framing her.
Edit: Also, Kosmo, I was talking about Tywin, not Tyrion.

So they are "smuggling" her out to just pin it on her later?
Hmmm.

It's just a thought. If they did want it to make it look like she did it, their story gains credibility if she appeared to flee the scene, right?

Maybe. But the fool would know the truth, and he owes Sansa. So I think that theory is out.

Joffrey was so over the top douchey that I'm excited to watch without him. Unlikable and no redeeming qualities. Every scene was a chore to watch.

That's true.
But if Grandma Tyrell likes Sansa, why would she leave her with the 'smoking gun'? Pinning the assassination on Sansa as an act of revenge makes this an easy out for Grandma.
So maybe Tyrell set this up for Fool to escape with Sansa, and then pin it on the both of them? Remember, fool has a lot of motives as well.

Just stop posting in this thread. It's not that fricking hard.
This. It's probably better as a book-reader to discuss with the other book-readers. The whole "I have come down from my holy position to enlighten the ignorant Hodors" thing is dumb.
If people really want to know, they could go to the spoiler-free wiki or risk elsewhere on the Internet.

What would be the "smoking gun" exactly? They probably wouldn't be able to trace the poison to whatever crystal things are on the necklace, since it probably dissolved completely to be tasteless and odorless.

Ehh. I don't know if Grandma is THAT big of a cold bitch. She may have her sly reasoning, but she did seem sympathetic to Sansa (unless it was an act).

I think Grandma has been playing Sansa though. She can be cold-hearted for the benefit of her granddaughter for sure.
But the fool would stand up for Sansa and give evidence that it was Grammy.

Granted
Hmm what else can we overanalyze?

Yeah, but then it would be fool's word vs. Grandma's. King's Landing doesn't exactly have a courtroom the way we think of it man.

It has to be a conspiracy because the fool obviously knew something but had no access. Tyrion is gonna get hit with the rap at least from the outset because he had the access but no way he could have predicted what Joffre did to him.
Momma Tyrell seemed to have access while the cup was off camera, but the cup was set on a table outside of her immediate reach and there was a damn guard standing right over the cup while it was off camera.
I swear I've examined those last few minutes more than anyone has examined the Zapruder film.
It can't be Sansa because Tyrion looked into the cup when Sansa handed it to him and I don't think Tyrion has anything to do with it.

If grandma was involved, she sure played it off well. She said something along the lines of "only monsters would kill someone at a wedding" and was the only person screaming for help. Isn't the Dorn guy the most obvious suspect? Why would Tyrion risk putting poison in wine which had been dumped on his head twice?
What are the "crystals" and "necklace" about? I guess I have to watch the episode again.

He only wants The Mountain, Tywin, and Jaime. At least that's what he said.

Oberyn supposedly dislikes all the Lannisters in general (though he blames Tywin in particular for his sister's death). He was poking fun at Cersei's (now temporary) loss of her title as Queen.

Lol, it's ok.
But re-host your avatar and sig on something other than Photobucket. Photobucket sucks!
I suggest Imgur.
