I agree. It was brilliant in the books. But then again I don't think a word of Littlefinger's big reveal and throwing Lysa out the moon door should have been changed either.
I mean these scenes are known and referred to according to their dialogues. "Only Cat" and "where ever whores go" are classic

Jorah does know Varys
Personally I think that Varys and Tyrion will split at the brothel. Varys will say that he has no interest in entering it for obvious reasons, and then Jorah intercepts Tyrion inside. Varys will then stay with Aegon and make it back in time to kill Kevan.
Honestly, Conelith Hill may be the most well casted person in the show, alongside Charles Dance and Maisie Williams. He is the perfect Varys and I can't imagine anyone else being him when reading the books.

Yeah, and for all I know this may be an improvement, but not knowing that Tysha wasn't a whore and that Tywin made that up I think changes Tyrion's arc next season. He's completely filled with rage over the incident throughout the novel, and Shae was simply a whore in both the show and novels, and his father just got what he deserved. It's more that his father screwed him out of Tysha and happiness that I think that makes Tyrion such the bitter mess he is in Dance. Granted, this could be an improvement on the show's part as well, since I was getting sick of Tyrion's "woe is me" and "where do whores go" mentality throughout the books.
