More like season 10 if they start splitting the books up into 2 seasons so Martin can finish the damn thing before HBO does.
The writers say that the show will be 7 seasons, which means they'll start compressing things.

So, where do yall think they're going with Arya's arc next season?
Probably just do it pretty similar to the books I would imagine. There is enough there between the inn, the bridge, her letting the Hound live, and the boat to Bravos for her to be in 5-6 episodes. Only thing I would imagine they'll change too much will be moving some of Theon up just like they did this season.

I read that comment by the directors/producers as "it will go 7 season (but may well go beyonf that)". I think people were reading that comment to literally.

Sorry if its been covered earlier. Long thread to see, but I think someone asked where this season would end. I'd say next weeks episode ends on the battle at castle black. Saving the other wedding until mid-early next season. I know its fairly obvious to end it there with a satisfying end to the season without rushing other story lines.

It's two chapters, to where I think they'll have to change alot. Next episode, I'd have someone realize that Arya Stark and the Hound were getting away, and that Walder Frey would want her dead. That would lead to a whole season of violent shenanigans.

Theon I don't think will be too radically different. Theon escapes with a whore, kills one of Ramsay's Bastard Boys on the way out (who turns out to be Reek), Ramsay captures him, Theon turns into Reek, and the season will end with him capturing Moat Catlyn. Season 5 will focus on Theon in Winterfell.

Opposite. I think the Battle of Castle Black will start off next season, but they're trying to keep the Purple Wedding secret from the reader's as the end to this season.

A competent count though. That's why I like Roose and Ramsay somewhat and fricking loathe the Freys. frick the Freys.

This is my hope. I want them to leave off with Tyrion being blamed. They have kind of been setting up for it by making it pretty clear that Tyrion thinks Joffrey is a monster.

Yeah, that's what I mean, pushing all the Theon stuff just mentioned by Theon in his head from book 5 into season 4.
Given that season 4 should end with Tywin's death and Jon being Commander there won't be room for a ton of stuff from books 4 and 5 next season, they still have to jam alot in with the purple wedding, the trial, the trial by combat, Sansa and Littelfinger's shenanigans in the Eyrie.

I think that they'll fill a bunch of it with expanding Tyrion's trial and the Red Viper taking an interest in him. I'd expect Tywin at most to die by Episode 7 or 8. I think the season will end with the burning of the Tower of the Hand.

Yeah, that was by far her best performance in the series. Wish they had her claw her face, but the groan/yell she lets out was perfect.

I don't think there is any way they kill off Joffrey next episode. They are going to get a ton of mileage out of the RW with the casual viewer(similar to Ned's death). There are only so many HUGE moments in the story...I doubt they do two of them back to back. In fact, I bet Joff will be an extra special petulant little fricker next episode just to piss the viewers off more.
