Most people here don't want any outside-the-show information and would appreciate no readers posting, yet ya'll haven't stopped posting here and now you're posting links to history and lore in here. And on top of that, conspiring in the other thread to frick with us in here. Just all seems fricking stupid. And I know ya'll shite all over me in your thread, and that's fine...but I feel like someone should "fight the good fight" so to speak, so if I'm the one who has to be all nazi about it, then so be it. I mean frick, somebody even said that he posts in here (as a reader) because he wants to see how we react to the show like kids on Christmas fricking morning.. WTF?

I get it and I knew I was skirting the line when I posted it.
I posted it because it wasn't spoilerish, involved the actors of the show, and really seemed like something worth sharing with people with no background knowledge.
I should have played it safe and gone with the middle ground thread.

Absolutely, yes. Let a watcher correct me on my shite. I don't need guidance from readers (and if I ever do then I know what thread to head to), and I certainly don't need readers jumping my arse if I ask stupid shite. Let us bask in our ignorance of what all is going on. Some have a better grasp than others. I know my shite on some stuff, but then also forget and mix up easy shite. It happens. But figuring it out and discussing it with people on the same level as me is half the fun of the whole thing.

Still fighting the good fight I see. This turned into a readers thread about 5 pages ago when there were more readers posting than non readers. I pretty much threw in the towel at that point.

i randomly caught most of last nights episode. there were definitely some things that i dont ever remember reading in the book. i either forgot reading it or they took some liberties and arent quite following it to the tee.

this is probably the only viable solution but it should be coupled with quick post deletions for questionable stuff

This thread moves so quickly, it'll be hard to keep the damage from happening.
The preferable option is for book readers to not be douches, and if they insist on being douches, immediate banning.
