Is it Sansa and Loras or Sansa and Tyrion being the first wedding?
IIRC I think Loras was made a member of the KGin order to keep Margery safe from Joffery and Sansa was to marry Willas. With no Willas I think what will happen is that Cersei will find out and have Joffrey appoint Loras to the KG in such a way that he can't decline, thus setting up the scenario mentioned earlier.

I don't see the issue in introducing Willas. He wasn't mentioned in the books until now either.

They didn't advance the story on Edmure at all.
After his poor showing at Hoster's funeral and his lack of battle acumen, it could be done quickly in the show. Plus, it is all a set up to destroy the Starks.

Do they really need to? They can have the Karstarks (or whoever) convince Robb that he needs to cross back across the Twins to go after the Mountain or somesuch.

I think I'm already on their shite list because of what I wrote last week about the Blackfish's first name
.

Did anyone else love that Tywin called out Cersei on her crazy bullshite. Tywin is a glacier, while Cersei is wildfire. Really I think, even under Tyrion, he had the least respect and opinion of Cersei. He realized Tyrion had his uses and was him in miniature form (which made him despise Tyrion even more), but Cersei is merely a younger, female, and (for the time being) a more sane version of Aerys. Wish that scene was in the novel.

Thought the episode was awesome. Dany and the Unsullied was damn near perfect.
2 things I didn't like : Sansa/Loras.... I guess it isn't a huge thing bc eventually the Lannisters will power move and it won't matter I just didn't like it. Little finger/Sansa... I'm not sure why they are taking away the surprise of little finger taking Sansa away. Wasn't this a complete surprise in the books?? Unless I'm remembering incorrectly I'm not sure why they are ruining the surprise.

Yeah, I just think non-readers will not be able to understand the true build-up to the RW if they have Edmure agree to and marry the Frey girl in the next episode or so, which is what they'd kind of have to do in order to get to the PW this season. I hope it happens, but I've assumed all along that this season would end with the RW.

I think what they are doing is setting up a Varys/Queen of Thorns vs. Littlefinger scenario with Sansa. They'll build the tension a bit, let the non-readers believe that she will be married off to Lora, then Tywin, Cersei and/or Joffrey will pull that rug out by somehow forcing Loras to be KG then immediately forcing her to marry Tyrion.

Yeah, the whole time in the books it was supposed to be that drunken knight, Ser Dontas I think.

For the show, it's just adding another minor character that has no purpose. They could introduce Willas in one episode and find out that Sansa is marrying Tyrion instead and then Willas has no purpose anymore. Or they could just appoint Loras to the Kingsguard, say he's no longer eligible to be married, and then marry her to Tyrion. I don't have a problem with it.
Yeah, the Littlefinger picking up Sansa was out of left field for me while reading.

I think they may play it like what happened with Robb at the Twins during the first season. It will be that Walder will demand a wedding for one of his progeny, he will be annoyed about Robb but play it off. When the wedding event happens though, shite meets fan.

They haven't really mentioned the Freys at all so far this season. They've done well building up the Boltons, but I think that most the illiterates hardly remember the Freys from 2 years ago.

And yeah, don't count on seeing Sansa's tits. In Briton, you can't even portray a 16 year old and show your tits legally, even if you are much older than that. Highly doubt we'll ever see them.

Yeah, it shouldn't be hard to get them to The Twins:
Lord Walder demands a wedding between families occur to consummate the alliance.
Robb tells Edmure that it's him.
Edmure bitches for a second but goes along anyway.
Then everyone starts making their way to The Twins.

I'm kinda annoyed on how the non-readers are not appreciating Theon's storyline. His was probably my favorite in ADWD, even if we're not quite there yet.
And I'm still not feeling this guy as being the Bastard.

His entire personality has been desrtoyed. He has more waiting for us for sure.

You mean the Bastard? I thought they did a good job tonight introducing how sinister and conniving he is, in addition to being cruel.

The Bastard has not yet begun to truly break him down and create Reek.
