I'll concede that. I was blinded by the fact that he aled one of the greatest Kingsguards ever assembled. He had Arthur Dayne, Barristan Selmy, Lewyn Martell, Jamie Lannister, Oswall Whent and Jonathan Darry taking orders from him.
That's impressive. So he had the respect of those men as a warrior and he's facing Ned Stark who has been described more than once as just average. The choice is easy.

I'm a big fan of him because he is one of the greatest knights of all time. He died defending a king/brother that he more than likely hated. But he got killed by two knights, so I'm not buying that he could be considered GOAT. That honor still belongs to Daemon, the King that should have been, Blackfyre IMO.
