It’s basically complete garbage past season 4, and it’s impossible to enjoy the early seasons alone when the entire story is built around the ending and the lore and the destiny that gets completely destroyed in the final seasons because D&D got bored and wanted to go play Star Wars

I will hate on GoT until the day I die. I was obsessed with those books and the show...then I had to jump through so many mental hoops to say season 6 and 7 were good...then even through 4 episodes of season 8 I was high on copium.
Never again. frick GRRM for not finishing the books and frick Dumb and Dumber for whatever the frick they were thinking those last few seasons.

No.
Yes it was a great show for a long time, nobody can argue that. But re-watching it, you're basically watching 8 seasons and thinking "o wow this doesnt matter in the end" to every major plot line. Who cares if you can binge it instead of waiting, it doesnt change the fact that most everything that's been told and every prophecy and almost all of the characters are screwed up on or ignored.
But if you can watch a show and not care how it ends or the good parts you're enjoying end up meaning nothing, then good for you I guess.

Because its the cool thing to do.
They didn't stick the landing, I get it. Im as frustrated as anyone, but the previous 6 seasons were some of the most fun I've had watching TV and reading the post show recaps.
I had my doubts on this prequel but it looks good.
