Exactly. If you were on a space ship with Sigourney Weaver looking like that, would you never give up, never surrender in pursuing her poon?

I do wish they had kept some of the more adult stuff that was cut to get that PG rating though.

They talked a bit about it on the DVD and even had a couple of incomplete scenes. There were things like Weaver's cleavage getting more noticeable in parts b/c she uses it to distract the aliens and Tony Shalhoub was supposed to be a drug addict which is why he is so spaced out throughout the film. There is also a moment near the end when Weaver is supposed to say "frick that" but they dubbed "screw that" over it.

I hate when they edit movies to be more marketable, yet I completely understand why they do this.

It sucks.

yep it blows

Can't Hardly Wait was originally supposed to be a raunchy R rated teen comedy but they cut out a ton of stuff and toned it down to make it PG-13. The potheads smoking out of the toy dinosaurs were supposed to have a much larger role. The reason Lauren Ambrose gets clocked with a brownie at one point is b/c the potheads screwed up making pot brownies. There was also supposed to be an insanely drunk girl that would get subtitled whenever she talked b/c her slurring was so bad.

A true cult classic. I wish we would've gotten a sequel.

Galaxy Quest shouldn't even be considered a guilty pleasure, it's just a straight up good movie with good actors, a good story, and good production value.

I can't imagine anyone watching the film and not picking up on the fact Tony Shaloub's character is high the entire time. It's one of the best running bits.

And this is no guilty pleasure, it's legitimately awesome.

I had zero expectations going in because I was like 12 when I first saw it in the theater

But I had seen all the Star Trek movies and most of the Original Series so I was able to get what they were doing.

Own it on vhs now and still watch at least once a year.

One of my favorite movies of all time, and the only movie I can say that Tim Allen absolutely was the perfect choice for.
