Brad Pitt's awesomeness will hopefully rub off on Shia.

Looks good.
Is there any actor out there that has fallen as hard as Lebouf has in recent years? He was supposed to be the next big deal. The next Indiana Jones. The dude's career was pretty much shot by Crystal Skull.

Labouf doesn't get much play in this first trailer.
Wonder why?

It's WWII so I'll watch it regardless but I am afraid this movie will be centered around the dude crying while killing krauts. Basically this guy all movie:
Oh, frick it, SHERMANS

OP was right Tigers & later King Tigers were horrid in the attack they were defensive juggernauts but not worth a damn on the offensive (too slow, mechanically unreliable, horrible reliability). As for Allied armor via 1941-42 the Sherman was the equal of the Panzer IV E/F at worst and the Sherman was equipping British Units by 1942 in Africa. The Soviet T34 & KV-1 were both superior to German Armor until the arrival of the Panther in 1943. The excellence of the Panzer Divisions lay not in equipment but in superior tactics (Blitzkrieg) and individual initiative and quality of the German Tankers. As pointed out though Tigers were not the tank for the Blitzkrieg tactics. The only real good Blitzkrieg tanks used by the German at the end of the war was the Panzer G+ & the Panther.

I have a feeling it is going to get a lot of buzz during award season so I am stoked about it plus the story line is really intriguing.

Sherman didn't get into North Africa until like, the end of 1942, right?
Until then, they were using Valentines and M3 Grants to fight the Panzers, and they just didn't stand up.

The invasion of Sicily wasn't until July of 1943.

Honestly, this trailer doesn't really give me the impression that this will be a good movie. It may well end up being one, but it looks like a cliche, Hollywood action war movie from the preview.

Not gritty enough. We need more dirt!
The turret on that thing turned towards me while I read this!
Will definitely see.
How short is that Logan Lerman kid?

The film will feature the last surviving operational Tiger I. The vehicle, known as Tiger 131, belongs to Bovington Tank Museum. It's the first time a real Tiger tank – and not a prop version – has been used on a film set.
