Trying to be overly clever is how you get crap like The Last Jedi. All El Camino needed to be was a fun little book end for Breaking Bad that in no way hurts Breaking Bad’s ending. It absolutely succeeded in that.

there is a MASSIVE space between being completely safe/ inoffensive and being completely subversive like TLJ. it's not one or the other

El Camino stayed at the completely safe end of the spectrum. I mean I'm not saying it was terrible, it was fine overall and had some good scenes. it's just nothing great or stimulating and I have no reason to ever watch it again

I guess a kind of wanted El Camino to play it safe. I felt like there was a lot at stake with BB ending so perfectly. I wanted a little more BB without hurting BB ending. I succeeded. If that means it isn’t very ground breaking I can live with that. But I understand others finding it uninspiring.

What was the greater disappointment considering the hype/potential.

Star Wars Episode 8 or Game of Thrones ending?

GOT, easily.

Star Wars had been circling the drain since the prequels. Previews alone for the sequels told a rational person they were going to be terrible, too.
GOT was fantastic from the start to the end of Season 7. There was no reason to think 8 wouldn't be as great.

Yeah El Camino was a bit bland but didn’t screw up anything.

Yeah 7 is better than 1 and 2.

Revenge of the sith > 7 IMO

8 ruined the universe Permanently

Can't really argue with this at all.

I don’t have the desire to watch El Camino, not because I’m fearing it is terrible, but because I think Breaking Bad ended well. I just like the thought of Jesse moving to Alaska and just leaving it at that.

Why are seasons 1-4, over half the show, only represented by the tail?

So you're upset that a joke wasn't drawn to scale...

I mean... according to GRRM he gave D&D enough material to last 13 seasons. There is alot that was left out of the show that is MAJOR storylines in the books. It was their choice to phone it in in the last two seasons, so I'd say all of the blame goes to D&D.

Pretty accurate, but El Camino should be a downgrade after BB and BCS

Which is why I also blame D&D. Both parties were at fault for the sudden collapse in quality.

The joke is made cheaper if it's inconsistent. The star wars one is inconsistent too, but star wars is stupid.
