No one called the actress anything. Just like no one called Kelly Marie Tran anything. This is all orchestrated by Disney to draw attention and virtue signal for their imagined oppressed and underrepresented minority groups.

You call it MY culture war? No. I did not start this.

You are the one that gives them power by letting it control your life.

You are the one that made Ewan Mcgregors statement about yourself. Us normal folks knew he was talking about the unhinged folks that DM people racist shite.

Its probably the same percentage of folks that send a college kicker death threats when they miss a fg.

Pete Jackson appears in all 3 of the LOTR movies. As do his kids.

This is what I mean. I’m in agreement with you on lots of these topics. This just ain’t the thread for it.

In The Longest Day, actor Richard Todd was cast as Major John Howard, the British airborne commander who captured Pegasus Bridge. Richard Todd was himself a British paratrooper officer who jumped on D-Day and met Howard on Pegasus Bridge (in a scene recreated in the film). So, in effect, Todd met himself on screen.

Yes. But the Saints released him because he kept referring to the game as "footie".

To save money on the first Mad Max, Dr. George Miller used real Australian biker gang members for a lot of the motorcycle scenes and stunt work.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) was produced for less than $140,000 ($700,000 adjusted for inflation).

Everything about that fact was fun until I remembered Ewen called SW fans 'racist' because a group of people didn't care for the poorly written character Reva and that got turned immediately into a thing which it never was.

BTW, how'd that Reva light saber Crowdfund campaign work out?

What, exactly, was even the point of this stupid comment? To derail the thread? To interject your personal feelings into a thread which quite clearly is NOT the place for them? A "Hey... look at me... look at me" sort of thing? Or just being a straight up arse?

Is how I started my reply. And it was fun, until I remember that Ewen made Star Wars a platform for some social agenda B.S.

And I really don't care if you pretend to not see it or not, I'm still calling it out when it happens.

If they're going to push an agenda, I'm pushing back.

In a thread that is quite clearly NOT designed for such.

In your attempt at "pushing back" you are also, probably intentionally, saying "Hey, y'all, look at me. Ain't I edgy? I called out Ewen McGregor. I sure showed him!"

I’m usually backing you 100%, my man. This wasn’t the thread for it, though. I want to read fun little tidbits about movies. Plenty of opportunities to fight the good fight in other threads.

Hey, Star Wars isn't the right place for what current day Disney is pushing either.

And yet, here we are. Imaginary racism and now (Andor) violet rape scenes... but it's a show for kids, right?

They're out of place. I'm out of place. We're all out of place.

What is imaginary about people sending black actors in a star wars show DMs calling them the N word?

And also in the andor thread you claimed that talking about the rape scenes was a joke but now u seem to be using it as an example of actual criticism

Also, calling that scene "violent" in the world of star wars is hilarious.

Where? What proof do they have it ever even happened? How are 'fans' slipping into an actor's DMs? Why not out those MFers and show them for who the are? Shame the hell out of them.

Odd. They never do.

*I've said my piece.

Good lord the internet is right at your fingertips and youve been on it a long time but you think its outlandish that ANYONE would ever say anything racist anonymously?

Were you born yesterday?

Also she did post screenshots back in 2022 when this was all going on
