I remember more than a few posters here picked it as one of their favorite movie experiences of 2021. I'm about to check it out now, finally.

And my sister told me last night she had just rented this really fun movie called Free Guy. I was like, "Oh yeah, I forgot all about it. It should start streaming on Disney on the 23rd." She said, "Dammit. I have Disney. I could have waited & watched it without having to rent it! Oh well, it was so good, it was worth the rental."

Thumbs up from everybody it seems.

That was a lot of fun. Super cool live-action version of worlds like GTA with a funny feel-good story to boot.

Really fun movie. This like Deadpool was made for Ryan Reynolds. It was like the truman show and ready player one mashed together.

I loved it. Very fun movie.

I enjoyed the heck out of it. I think 40% of the enjoyment was from all the random cameos/ Easter eggs in the last 20 minutes.

Really fun movie. A little predictable and full of classic tropes, but an enjoyable flick.

Thanks for the reminder about this movie, it seemed like forever ago I saw the first preview for it. Great movie, especially for a Wednesday night.

I thought the same thing. It was fine but seemed like a B version of The Lego Movie.

Some people just enjoy watching meta nerd satire with lots of inside references which they understand portrayed by a charismatic lead with good comedic timing. The movie was silly, mindless entertainment. Also, I thought it was more "Wreck It Ralph" than "LEGO Movie", but yeah, nothing groundbreaking here.

I'm dumb, but I did not know until after the movie was over that she played both roles, the Molotov girl and Millie. The drastic difference in hairstyles somehow made her face unrecognizable. (I thought she was gorgeous as a blonde, btw). Maybe covering her eyes with sunglasses also helped with fool me.

Never heard of her before this. Looking at her filmography, the only thing I actually saw her in was Rise of Skywalker, in a forgettable role as Rey's mom in a flashback.

She’s won some awards for killing eve. I watched a bit and it was just weird lesbianish murder/spy stuff, but it’s well done. She also was in the Last Duel.

Missed that. Just watched a trailer of it. It looks good. I also just watched a short interview and found out she's a Brit, born in Liverpool.

the cameo by a certain MCU actor was hilarious (and I lol'd even though I knew it was coming)
