His costar and friend, Mike Wolfe, posted on Instagram and Facebook Tuesday, sharing the news. Wolfe said that Fritz died on Monday night.

“It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night,” he wrote.

He continued, “I’ve [known] Frank for more then half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen, a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny. The same off camera as he was on, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.”

Wolfe didn’t say a cause of death, but Fritz was hospitalized for a stroke two years before he passed away.

Weren't there stories of there being some manner of feud between them, prior to Frank's stroke?

Yes, Mike is the one who fired Frank from the show due to his drinking problem. Frank had back surgery and then his stroke and Mike never visited him in the hospital it pissed off all the fans and the ratings tanked after that

I still watch this show on Pluto TV it's good background noise and way better than Pawn Stars

But they did visit and mend things after.

Man, seems like more than the usual amount of celebrity/sports deaths lately.

Today is the three year anniversary of my moms passing Not a good day for me.

Sorry to hear that about yours too. Some days are definitely harder than the others. Definitely getting better at remembering the good times.

Seemed like a nice guy. I stopped following once the formula became a bit too repetitive, so missed out on the later drama. Frank, Mike, and Danielle seemed like fun people at the start.
