What a drastically underrated flick. Iceland in that movie looks stunning. Hell, it even makes you want to visit the heights of Afghanistan and hunt for snow leopards.

I think it was marketed wrong or something when it came out. I only saw it a couple of years ago and I was blown away at how different it was from what I thought and how much it resonated.

It was actually a damn strong re-imaging of the original.

Inverse premise - Brokedown Palace. Other than Japan, I have zero interest in traveling anywhere they don't speak English.

If you go, spend some time in Malaysia as well.

Two of the the cleanest countries I’ve ever spent time in.

I've always wanted to go to the Al-Khazneh in Jordan because of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Dubrovnik, Croatia where they film a lot of Game of Thrones.

Lost in Translation is a great one, but made me pretty sure I'd be miserable while there.

The Thin Red Line.

The Darjeeling Limited.

The Triplets of Belville.

Visiting New Zealand is still #1 on the bucket list thanks to Lord of the Rings.

Went 6 years ago. There are a ton of tours as well. The typical response I got was LOTR was much more a love letter to the country. Filmed across both islands where the hobbit was mainly in Wellington in newer studios with CGI.

I stayed in turtle bay on Oahu where forgetting Sarah Marshall was filmed. That was pretty cool.

Frantic (1988) and The Ninth Gate (1999) made me want to visit Paris.

I think they both had scenes here:
