TLDR they plan to spend an additional $7 billion in original content in 2018

Hopefully that means cancelling Arrested Development and more seasons of Wet Hot American Summer.

That is not NetFlix's job anymore. They turned away from movies over 6 years ago, it's about time people got over it. If you want better movies use Kodi so the movie industry is forced to respond to consumer demand like Napster forced the music industry.

Low quality garbage makes me think 1 star - 2 star quality shows. I'd say a lot of what NetFlix puts out is in the 3 star - 4 star range (out of 5). I guess one point to quibble over is does NetFlix get credit for shows it just licenses like Peaky Blinders. What about shows it co-produces like The Last Kingdom? I can watch it with the NetFlix subscription I pay for so I think they should get credit and you are being very unfair to a lot of good quality shows.

i suppose they do, but their original content is mostly bullshite. i think daredevil has visceral action despite the CW type nonsense and house of cards was good...for a season.

stranger things was the only thing they've put out where i was just really fricking into it.

their content gets compared unfairly or not to HBO which over the same amount of time has put out a lot of great shite.

HULU has put out some interesting and funny comedies like deadbeat, difficult people, quick draw (must watch. hysterical) and has the content of quite a few cable channels and all network content plus movies

HBO has tons of the high quality productions + movies

Netflix just doesn't really bring the ruckus, larry

isn't that one of their licenses and not an original production?

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'd rather more quality over more quantity from Netflix Originals. There are too many duds. It seems a few new originals come out each month. Rarely do they hold up.

The first two seasons of Black Mirror were British and just licensed. I believe NetFlix took it over for season 3.

It came and went pretty fast, something common with NetFlix shows, but I really liked The OA even though the ending weakened it a bit.

Yeah, that worked out great. Mainstream music is nothing but pop fluff because it's safe and always turns a profit. Nothing innovative or otherwise risky gets pushed by the big companies.

File sharing ruined the music industry.

I find netflix originals to be pretty good for the most part. The only thing they've made that I didn't like was sense8.
