the movie may be bad (I didn't care for it), but the show Friday Night Lights is great. even for a drama. ir's the perfect get-you-over until football season. i binge watch it late every summer to help pass the time till football begins. currently on season 3.

i also second, the comebacka but only if the OP doesn't mind silly comedy..

I like multiple kinds of football, but the movie had no plot and the show was cringeworthy.

The show is an Emmy and Peabody award winning series that has a 78 out of 100 Metacritic rating and was one of the best dramas produced on broadcast television in years. It suffered mightily through the writers strike and came out on the other side as better than nearly every drama airing at the time. I'm not saying much when I say that your opinion of the show is pretty terrible and goes against the great weight of this board and the critics.
