It's funny how old songs seem to get use in different things about the same time. Pretty sure I've recently heard a version of "In the Pines" in a commercial. Maybe a Dodge car commercial?

Edit: Yep!

I wasn't sure about Stromare as Czernobog, but seeing him with that hammer is pretty awesome. I actually think the show may be better than the book on this one. The cast is great.

Based off that clip I have no clue what it's about, but count me in

Hope Pablo Schreiber is in it a lot

This one is a strange situation for me.

I wasn't really a huge fan of the book. I liked the idea, just couldn't get into the writing. But I can't wait to see it adapted to a series.

The trailer looks really good.

the book isn't that long, I wonder how long they will stretch this out.

Regardless, I can't wait. May pull it off the shelf for a reread

What am I missing? I mean it looks good but why is everyone fapping to this?

I don't get it either. I loved the book and I think the trailer looked good, but this level of reaction is a bit surprising. Looks good, but not worth the jizz in the pants reactions of the others.

I know me either. I saw an article online saying "drop whatever you're doing and watch this trailer now". It also said how unreal and amazing it looked.

I mean, I guess. Lol

Will someone please tell me what the hell this show/book whatever is about? I have no clue about any of it and until last eeek had never heard of it. The trailer looks like a True Blood knock-off.

No it doesn't. Not even a little bit.

It's about a guy named Shadow who is in prison for assault set to be released for good behavior and then gets released even earlier because his wife dies. What transpires after he gets out is a series of magical realism events based on the notion that gods are real in the physical world and exist as a result of their followers and believers. The Old Gods (think Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Greek, Mesopotamian, etc.) are dying. The New Gods (think TV, Money, etc.) are waxing. A clash between old and new is inevitable. Shadow gets mixed up in that mess.

FWIW, I haven't read American Gods (plan to do so soon) but just the cast alone has me excited.

This trailer gives me a warm fuzzy about a faithful adaptation. Everything so far looks like they stepped right off the pages.

I've been sporting wood ever since I watched this yesterday.
