Even though it was supposed to be Detroit, it was filmed in Dallas.
In his "memory" scene, where he opens a door and goes into a condo, was actually filmed at the condos where I lived in the early 80's.
I walked out to get in my car one morning and there were guys with light meters, camera men and all of the sound guys standing around waiting for the inportant people to get there.
If you are ever watching it, the door he goes up to is the door to the condo across from my old one. The inside of the condo is not the inside of the one they filmed him walking up to. That part may have been a set out at Los Colinas.
The municipal building they show is a computer enhanced version of Dallas City Hall.
There is also a furniture store that is located in the "hood" area across I-35 from the Reunion Arena that is also recognizable in the film.

Walking Tall was the shitte in the early 70's. My friends and I all went with our parents. When we got home all of us were in the yard finding tree limbs to make our own "sticks"....we did too

The Joe Don Baker one
Joe Don wasn't in that one, only the original. Bo Svenson took over in part 2 & 3 and the TV show (yeap)

That's right Matrix! You did!
I lied...
Watched this almost weekly from 7 till maybe 10 years old. How I got away with that, I'll never know.

You can tell my family was into comedies.

I guess I was about 5 or 6 when I first saw Commando and Predator.
Was Jaws R? Cause I can remember watching that when I was about 4.

I am so damn old I don't think we had a VCR at home for me to remember watching a movie that I shouldn't have.
We didn't have cable until my junior or senior year. We had the tallest antenna in town and one of those electrical rotators that turned it to get different channels to come in better.
I didn't see a porn movie until I was away at college.

Risky Business
1983...I was 13 and a buddy of mine invited me and a few friends to the movie for his birthday. Somehow, his Dad thought it was a great idea to go to see this. To this day I'm sure his mom had no fricking clue...
