Jesus Christ I think everyone born in the late 80's early 90's probably saw their first film there. I think mine may have been Jurassic Park or Apollo 13. Whatever it was... it was definitely at broadmoor. Maybe Siegen Village. Third most likely was Oak Cinema 8.

Favorite memories though were my parents going to see Schindler's List and because it was so long and we were too young, we got to watch two movies instead: Ace Ventura and Lightning Jack. 7 year old me loved them both

Also snuck into R movies a lot. Saw South Park at 13. Scream when I was like 10. Always had to bullshite the parents later and try to act like I watched some kids movie I didn't.

Also convinced my poor sweet Granny to take me to see Dumb and Dumber. I laughed so hard and she hated it so much

Idk. One time I said I saw a Bond movie. Once was Mouse Hunt but that was '97. I lied to my parents a lot. They were pretty weird about what was ok and what wasn't. They were totally cool with all the Farley, Sandler, Jim Carrey stuff in fact they loved it too but they hated South Park. They actually showed me Animal House when I was pretty young, because even though it's so raunchy it's a classic from their time so it's ok

It seems like you and I came from similar backgrounds. They’d drop me off at the theater when I was 5 because my mom went to high school with the owner of the theater. But we could also watch movies that were rated R. I don’t think kids could get away with it these days.

I got one more. Came home from college Christmas break one year. Girl from my hometown, old friend of mine, hot, super duper devout Christian. I take her to see a movie. Walk Hard. There is a lot of dick in that movie. Nothing happens with us. Anyways I take her home to her parents afterward. A little while later I get a text from her "I told Mom and Dad I saw my first penis on our date tonight"
