Oliver & Company or Land Before Time are the 2 first I remember going to see at the theater.

Return of the Jedi.

i told my mom about it, and she asked where it was playing - and in a total kid response, I said at a theater near you.

I remember being like 2 or 3 and two cousins taking me to see Gremlins. I dont remember the movie at all, but I remember being in the theater.

I think the first movie I actually remember seeing after that was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with my parents. I guess I was 7?

It seems like you and I came from similar backgrounds. They’d drop me off at the theater when I was 5 because my mom went to high school with the owner of the theater. But we could also watch movies that were rated R. I don’t think kids could get away with it these days.
Used to ride my bike to the Rental Center about 3 miles away. Local place, knew the owners, usually a guy 2 years older than me, in my sister's grade, running the counter. Let me rent whatever I wanted. And they had Nintendo games for $1 a night.

Late 90s is not that long ago. It's insane how things have changed

Jaws was the first movie I saw in a theater. My PawPaw took me and three of my cousins. PawPaw was passed out within the first 5 minutes and me and my cousins were scared shitless the whole movie.

Star Wars - 1977. Some theater off I-20 in Jackson, MS. I remember an IHOP being beside it and eventually a Sack n Save.
