Is this one of the black hobbits? She seems to be dressed like a dwarf.

Changing established races from Tolkien's lore is an indicator of what the creators of the series are focused on, and should be a concern for any fans of his works.

If the dwarven princess doesn’t get a beard I’m gonna be pissed. All the women are supposed to look just like the men, with incredible beards

BB, the dwarven women are supposed to have beards, that’s a fact within the lore. We’re all mad about that first and foremost

Because it’s LOTR.

The Hobbit movies treated at least some of them differently, likely a compromise for the millions that saw the movies but had never read the books and were steeped in the lore. Some of the female dwarves just had mutton chops that were fluffy. In this case, they could be covered by her hair.
I remember reading debate after the Hobbit movies between Tolkien nerds about how exactly identical their beards "should" be.

No. Absolutely not.

I'm disappointed. I was really hoping this show would cover Lúthien and Beren.
