“American Prometheus” is my favorite non-fiction book ever so I am very intrigued by this one.

Ever seen a movie that wasn't directed by Christopher Nolan? Some of them are pretty good.

I'll have to check that out. I read Manhattan Project: The Birth of the Atomic Bomb in the Words of Its Creators, Eyewitnesses, and Historians. Couldn't put it down.
I always thought the proper treatment for this story would be a series but I'll take what I can get.

Dunkirk confused you that much, huh?

Just hope they dont portray the USA as xenophobes for nuking noble Orientals
I'm really looking forward to the movie, but the "Should we shouldn't we" debate has to be in there since Oppenheimer himself was full of self-loathing for his roll in developing the bomb.
He also lost his security clearance during one of the Red Scares for opposing the development of the hydrogen bomb.
ETA: Although Oppenheimer didn't actually oppose it's usage in Japan. More about the ensuing arms race and bombs getting bigger and bigger. So hopefully that is accurately portrayed.

Dunkirk didn't confuse me. It was just a really mediocre movie.

But why

It’s dropping on BBC February 27 so it should be what, 6 weeks after?

Cillian is an excellent actor though.

heard there was going to be a secret cameo

I really hope that Nolan plays this one straight and doesn't cram all of his usual bullshite into it. Just play it like a regular biopic with your high production value, Chris.

Nolan had to be embarrassed when 1917 came out and smoked Dunkirk in pretty much every way

I liked Dunkirk. I watched it in Imax and had fun with it. Tenet, otoh, was a disaster of a movie.

Doesn’t feel like a movie we needed a “first look” for
It’s Murphy in a suit and hat.
