Fantastic series. Great writing. Casting was excellent.

Definitely could see a slight drop off late in the series where it seemed like the show was running out of steam.

I think there was an entire season devoted to Tony dreams while he was in the coma. Wasn't a fan.

Could definitely see Tony become more and more evil as the show progressed.

Lastly, finale sucked. I already knew how it ended due to the talk at the time. Seemed like it was rushed. Would have liked a more thorough episode showing the demise of Tony.

Overall fantastic show. A show like that cannot be made today.

I like the ending... He is finally the happy wanderer... then gets shot.

Wife and I are currently in a very slow first watch. I think we're almost done with S4. We are enjoying it though.

The didn’t think it dropped off at all

I like the finale more on rewatch. First time I was completely caught off guard and didn’t know what was happening. Thought something. Was wrong w the tv

It’s a much better ending than it was given credit for, though I can understand some not liking the ambiguity

The coma dream episodes are important in the final season. Tony (and all of the characters) are given a choice to change their ways or make a right decision in their lives during Season 6. And all but two piss the opportunity away. Tony’s chance at redemption and fall into a worse human being is the story of the final season.

Also Frank Vincent was on fire as Phil Leotardo in Season 6

I’m on my 3rd full rewatch. I felt the same way about Season 6 but after watching it again I was wrong

Can a show be very good and still overrated? Yes. Great writing and production cannot, in the end, overcome the fact that we are supposed to care about dumb-as-shite New Jersey gangsters.

SPOILERS

The scene where Kevin Finnerty is greeted by Tony B at the Inn at the Oaks. “Your family is waiting for you…you’re going home.”….. goosebumps every time.

It's on my list to eventually watch. Have it on the back burner because the wife also wants to watch.

For those that have watched, is it a slow start that builds up through S1, or is it really good right away? Basically, if my wife doesn't like it after a few episodes, she'll be turned off and will be done with it. Then as I am continuing to watch, she'll get caught back up and make me fill her in

Well, I’ll tell you this, and I’m not ashamed to say it. My estimation of you as a man just frickin plummeted.

It doesnt start out really fast but its not breaking bad slow. My wife didnt get into it her first time. But then she watched it on her own and binged the whole series in a couple of weeks. She was really really into it.

But i think for most people its not really what they expect when they start watching.
