We even have the soundtrack, although i got “Un Poco Loco” stuck in my damn head for a month.
Sometimes the bluetooth on my phone will automatically play parts of the sountrack when I get in my truck since it's the last thing my kids were listening to. If it's Un Poco Loco I usually just let it play out before changing it.

Dude, thanks for the recommendation. I was bored tonight and decided to give it a watch. I had no expectations going in and man oh man, this movie is a bonafide classic. I've rarely seen an animated film aimed at a younger audience be so emotional, optimistic, and beautiful. The colors and the movement of the cg were gorgeous. The voice acting was great. The music was wonderful. And the morale was told masterfully.
To have a movie not go down the extremes of "chase your dreams and believe in yourself" or "it's about family" and instead make it a hybrid of those sentiments were wonderful. I also loved a lot of the quiet moments and how they contrasted with the more bombastic moments. I could go on and on, but this might just be my favorite Disney film period.

The premise was dumb (generations of families are banned from listening to music because a musician left the family). That said, it was a sweet movie.

Coco has become a top 3 Pixar film for me. It's a beautiful story and the cinematography is flawless. The music makes it all feel authentic.

This movie will always hold a special place for my family
We were at Disneyworld last year at this time and it was the week before CoCo came out
We had dinner at Mexico in Epcot and they had a CoCo party with dancers and characters. It was a perfect night and then we saw the movie and it made it that much better

Great movie, really loved the details in the move that I didn't catch at first viewing. Like Hector finally getting shoes when he was accepted into the family, or the fact that Miguel looked like Jack Skellington. Pixar knocked it out of the park with this one.

I watched it last night for the first time.
Mistake for a couple of reasons: 1) my paw paw passed away two years ago right before Halloween and 2) yesterday was his bday.

So why doesn't it get as much attention as other Pixar films you think?
Box Office:
Frozen 1.276 billion USD
Toy Story 3 1.067 billion USD
Coco 807.1 million USD
Up 735.1 million USD
Moana 643.3 million USD

I bawled like a baby during the scene when Coco responded to Miguel....
Rewatched it and even knowing exactly what is going to happen I still baw like a baby. Great film

I paid for Disney plus for a month to watch “get back” and finally got around to watching “coco”. When it finally became clear the deal with hector (what happened to him, what will happen to him next) I was a slobbering mess for the rest of the movie
only Pixar can do that in a kids movie

Yea he’s an idiot for assuming that a progressive idealistic Hollywood would keep placing more SJW themes in movies. What a conspiracy nut that guy is.
GLG,
Lot of loaded language in that statement. Any chance you just want to state your opinions?

Top four Pixar movie for me. Loved it.

I guess we go in different circles, because this is definitely one of the non-OG Pixar movies my friends/families rank highly.

Watched it as the new parent of a little girl, cried for probably the last 30 minutes - any time Hector mentioned wanting to see Coco after missing her entire life.
Same. Pretty much if you want to make me ball at this point just do any type of animation or cartoon of a father doting on his little girl . . . and then take it away.
Coco is probably my second favorite Pixar movies behind Ratatouille.
