I stopped watching midway through the third season but are you trying to tell me Nancy gets a happy ending do to the deus ex machina of weed legalization? Wow, that's a horrible f'n copout.

This show went to such crap.

A happy ending? No not really, she is alone and pretty depressed and doesn't even care about the money. She wanted Andy back, and he wanted nothing to do with her really.

The ending sucked for her, she was pretty miserable the whole episode.

Weed will probably be legal in 10 years, at least in more than a few States, not a bad "copout" at all imo, makes perfect sense. She wised up and wanted to get out of the illegal side of Weed from Season 7 on, and especially after the bullet incident.

Made me a little sad to see it go.

The show started when I was 16, me and a group of friends used to smoke a blunt before it came on, then sat down and watched it for probably the first 4 or 5 seasons.

Then it went to just 3 of us, and then the final 2 seasons no weed since most of us don't smoke anymore.

That being said, last night, fat arse blunt, the old group sitting down to see it off.

Just one of those shows you kinda grow up with, with your close friends, and have a ton of good times during.

Anyways, :csb: aside, I thought it ended pretty well. It all made sense at least, Shane was always fricked up and an outcast/rebel, so him turning out to be shite like his shite mentor was par the course.

I would have liked to have seen Andy marry Nancy honestly, but I get it 100%. Nancy took Andys love for granted for years and years and years. Then finally, Andy moved on and was done with her, only for Nancy to want him back when she's settled down for good for the first time. You push people away, and you lose them.

Silas was pretty normal, level headed, and his part made sense. Family man that gets to grow his beloved plants legally and make a shitload of money while marrying his one true love.

Doug is just fricking hilarious, so him starting a sex cult had me rolling, and fit Doug perfectly. "These are my main assistants, I have lots of sex with them, sometimes all 3 at the same time".

Stevie was whatever, so rarely in the show it didn't matter.

All in all, had some damn good times over the years and will miss it. I would watch multiple seasons more if it was possible, even if it has been pretty meh for awhile.

You are right about Doug. That was ridiculous. Most I have laughed at weeds in a long time. Actually Doug is the only funny character for the past 2-3 seasons. I lost it when in desperation to reconnect with his son he yells out "I sucked a d***".

I do think they did a very good job of projecting their personalities into the future.

Nancy - miserable, longing for companionship. You could tell she wanted this all along.

Andy - He ends up truly happy. Didn't seem to actually hate Nancy. Just did not care at all about her. I kind of always figured he'd end up content with his life.

Silas - Same as Andy, except he still loves Nancy. You could see this all along. Nancy and Silas relationship was the most real to me. It actually grew and changed over time.

Shane - You could tell he was fricked from the murder on. You could see him struggling against his mentor, but slightly receptive to it at the same time.

Doug - Wow. Dude DGAF about anything. Pretty spot on to what i expected from him. I mean even as he's reconciling with his son, you still sense it's kind of fake. "Jesus, Doug" "Actually it's Guru, Doug" "False profit, It's about me"

Wife and I just watched the finale. I though it was really good for about the first 30 minutes, and I was actually thinking the future theme was making sense. Then once the barmitzvah party started the rest of the episode sucked arse.

I absolutely love weeds. Pretty much every episode.

But I didn't like this "future" angle they took and my god was that the most depressing thing to watch ever, especially thinking back about all the memories of weeds. For me it was just sad to see it go out like that.

Just my opinion

Finally saw this. I gave up after season 5 and this affirms why. at them aging Stevie 14 years when Nancy had him when she was at least 44. That would make her 58 in the flashforward. Oh give her some highlights and that makes her 58. Strange Botwin sure turned into an awful actor.
