I don't know the time loop thing but I do know Ferris was a sociopath, who probably ruined alot of lives on his way to being a highly paid corporate executive.

I hadn't either but read it earlier today after seeing this post.
Actually really like it and especially adds some nice poignancy to the tag at the end of the credits.

Ferris is in a groundhog day time loop with is why he is able to perfectly execute the day and plan for every scenario

Except that there are far too many close calls (racing home at the end, running into the mom’s car, almost being busted by the dad in the cab, etc) for that to make sense.

Cameron’s dream while home sick. The whole dream happens between 10:02 - 10:07 while Cameron is home from school sick and The Price Is Right is on a small TV in his room. It’s all the life Cameron wishes he could live through his friend, Ferris, and Sloan, who Cameron has a crush on.
He wakes up midmorning to his same life, the Ferrari is still there, but he resolves to do things differently now.
That’s what really happened.

Obviously, the timeline question has been brought up before. How could he do all these things in just on day?
Never heard of the Groundhog loop theory.
It's a movie, after all.

Good catch. I'll put him up there with Jenny and Rose.

Eh, I reject both theories, but like that one is Cameron-focused.
Ultimately the movie is all about him and his growth.
