New Netflix documentary. Came out yesterday (July 22). Produced by the guy who did “Dont frick with cats.” It’s 3 episodes. Each about an hour.
Anyone started watching this yet or with plans of watching it? It’s the FBI vs the main 5 mob families in 1970s New York. Just got home and am starting it now.

If it counts for anything, I was also stoned but made it through the entire first episode

That wasn’t meant as a shot at the show

It’s OK. I like all the old footage. But I’m a sucker for anything set in 70s New York that involves the Mafia.

Just finished the first episode. Its good. It really shows the FBI side of the tricks they had to do to infiltrate the top dogs of the mafia.

Watched ep1 last night and was gonna keep going but got busy with my kids and it was late when got done. I plan on continuing it tonight.
I loved that agent who got the mafioso to help him install the bug on his TV. That was pretty good. You could tell he enjoyed retelling that story.

I just started Bad Blood, the Montreal crime series

It's good but it is basically the same as the one that was on Netflix a year or two ago. I love that Lin Devecchio is always in these, wasn't he the FBI agent who let Greg Scarpa run around murdering people for years. The inspiration for "We're gonna win this thing" in the Sopranos.

Will watch. I want a good Luciano doc soon.

Trailer looks good. I like documentaries that use a lot of primary sources, instead of recycled footage and that one guy who’s always talking about “this life.”

I just like learning about New York in that era. It was pretty decent.

Yeah that’s him. He’s the basic cable go-to expert for all things Mafia.
