O' Brother

Nothing else comes close for me. I never really lived Forrest Gump. Does Deliverance count?

Mud is a really good movie, but O' Brother has amazing rewatchability for me. It's up there with Big Lebowski in that sense.

So many. Almost any Burt Reynolds movie from the 70's.

Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, WW & The Dixie Dance Kings, Gator, White Lighning.

I'd probably go with this too. Another good one that came out the same year as Mud is Beasts of the Southern Wild. The scene where her dad is showing her how to peel the crab stands out. "Beast it!"

Filmed all over the State of Mississippi. One of my favorite scenes was filled right down from where I grew up at D’Lo.

Southern Comfort was decent back in the day ... all star cast.

Damn corn dogs.

Gone With The Wind is the greatest movie ever made about the South probably.

Raintree County is another great movie about the south.

Fried Green Tomatoes .... the wife loves that movie.

To Kill a Mockingbird.

I loved Big Fish and The Green Mile.

Is No Country for Old Men considered Southern?

Hell .... someone show me a movie the hateful Hollywood fricks have made where we Southerners are not racism bigoted a-hole losers come to think of it.

Loved the movies .... hate the fricking messages they are trying to send sometimes.

frick Hollywood.

Name all the movies that portray all of us as racist bigoted ignorant fricks .... the list can go on and on.

Hollywood can eat a dick.

The Help .... wtf.
