I always think of Jeroen Krabbé from Jesus (1999):

Pacino in "Devil's Advocate" and it isn't close IMO. The last 10-15 minutes is extraordinary.

Pacino in DA & it's not even close

Who are you carrying all those brick for?

I've always wondered if Pacino seemed like such a superior actor in that movie just because he was next to the worst actor of all time for the entire movie??

Still...The best depiction of the devil in any movie.

Such an awesome movie and a spot-on Devil by Stormare!

In the movie Devil *sperlers, I suppose.

Much of this flick kind of sucked, but Jenny O'Hara was a straight-creepy devil.

Ray Wise was the first person that popped into my mind. Peter Stromare and Marc Pellegrino are right behind him.

Off the subject, my next door neighbor looks and speaks exactly like the sheriff in that movie.

I know his statement is that

"Hell is merely a word. Where we are going is much worse than Hell."

But I do not think that he means they aren't going to Hell. I think he means that humans cannot fathom how bad Hell truly is. I also know that they don't directly present him as Satan, more of possessed. But I like to believe that he is possessed by Satan. He is the new captain of the ship
