watched to hell and back for the first time last week.
i was highly disappointed. it felt like a hallmark channel movie. war movie for kids or something.
they should remake it (R rating) to show just how badass audie was

Read the Iliad and then watch the abomination that is Troy. It would be one thing if he broke away from the source material to make a good movie. It is another when you jump away from the source material to make at the very best an incredibly mediocre to just plain bad movie.

I read Audie had to make the movie that way because of the fear that no one would believe what he really did and he didn't want people calling him a liar or a showoff.
