12 Years a Slave was a beautiful film that was shot somewhere close to Natchitoches

Don’t forget Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans with Nick Cage. I’m really surprised no one has even mentioned that film

A lesser known Soderbergh film made here was Schizopolis.

Didn’t realize it was until I recognized a specific shopping center where I used to catch the bus every morning.

If I hadn’t noticed it by then, I probably would have by the time Margaret Lawhon of Channel 2 made her appearance telling a non-PC joke. It was that the president had sold Rhode Island to be the world’s largest indoor mall and that “at least we didn’t sell it to the fricking Japanese.”

Runaway Jury

Watched this the other day randomly and did a double take when the jury gets sequestered to the London Lodge motel down Airline

Come a long way since being able to use that in a movie and it being torn down a few years ago

Me in "The Toy"

I spent 3 months on set as Scott Schwartz's stand-in. Toward the end of filming, Director Richard Donner liked me so much, he had Corol Sobieski, the screenwriter re-write the end of the movie to give me a speaking part. The above is the result.

Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte — River plantations

Jailbirds — Abbeville

Ray — NOLA area

All The Kings Men (2006) — Baton Rouge and area

Passion Fish — Lake Arthur, Lafayette

Secretariat — Lafayette, Carencro

A Streetcar Named Desire — NOLA

I seen em all.

The one mentioned that would have fooled me is the sci-Fi Oblivion with Cruise and Freeman. But the Celtic Studios makes sense now. But which scene was filmed in St. Francisville?

Reportedly, part of the desert sequence was shot at some manmade sand dunes West of St. Francisville. I wonder if they don't mean Tunica Island or just West of there along the river?

I'm not familiar with manmade sand dunes in that area, but that's what AI says.

Fantastic film with iconic scenes of the old FQ and the wharves. Also love tis flick, the opening of which was filmed in an apt that I subsequently lived in for a couple of years:
