Amos and Andy, Red Skelton, the Honeymooners, Ed Sullivan, George Burns and Gracie Allen. I know I'm showing my age, but what the hell. And with that I'll say "good night Gracie".

How many of y'all know those shows??

Is Cheers old enough to be a classic?

It’s started 40 yrs ago, and went off the air almost 30 yrs ago.. so i will grow with ‘Yes’

Solid choice for back then, but maaaan does it not hold up well AT ALL…. Like , i think it might be the show that holds up the least well of every show mentioned in this thread.. way more cringes than laughs, but i do remember liking it a lot in the day .. of course i was like 6 yo when it was on.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the first US TV show to have man and wife sleeping in the same bed.

The Munsters predated Green Acres by a year. But even that wasn't the first TV show to show a married couple sharing a bed. Mary Kay and Johnny, starring real life married couple Mary Kay and Johnny Stearns was the first in the late 40s.

I think the last show that I followed was Happy Days when it was on network TV.. The only shows I watch are considered classic tv shows.
Leave it to Beaver
Andy Griffith Show
Hazel (because Mr B reminds me of my dad)
I love Lucy (Fred is the best)
Father knows best
Dick Van Dyke show (MTM was hot)
All in the Family
Cheers
Seinfeld

ETS.. I saw someone commented on the Honeymooners.. Definitely in the top 5.. I remember watching with my dad and he would roar with laughter. Good times..
