Didn't Matt Damon leade LSU to a NC?
Yep

Very easy. Leo. Damon has not really reached out of his box nearly as much and always resorts to some movie with a political agenda.

I think they are both fine actors. Damon doesn't take the risks that Leo does, but I've never heard anyone say he couldn't play just about any role.
I respect Leo as an actor--This Boys Life is still one of my favorite films along with the Beach, but he's made more movies I don't really dig than one's I have to see. Don't know why that is.

I think Leo has the better resume by some margin but don't think he's much of an actor (I know people disagree but IMO they confuse the quality of the production/editing with the quality of the acting IMO)
And I'm guessing many people will say Leo has more range but I disagree. In fairness to Damon I'd say he's about 100x more convincing than Leo as a lead action star - Leo just lacks the physicality that Damon surprisingly demonstrated in the Bourne Identity series

I'd rather drink a beer with Damon

Ya ill stick with Leo
So many of those roles Damon couldn't pull off. I can't think of a single Damon role that Leo couldn't pull off.
I'll disagree with the exception of "What's eating Gilbert Grape"
There was nothing remarkable about Leo's performances in any of the other movies - sometimes I found him downright unconvincing
And as I mention in the post above if we want to talk about range when comparing the two actors we should give Damon the nod in the action genre for having a superior physical presence (based on his Bourne Identity series). Leo is the Pierce Brosnin or Roger Moore in action movies to Damon's Sean Connery or Daniel Craig.

I'll give Leo the edge, but I think it's mainly based on the types of movies he does and casts he does them with. Really the only Damon movies I thoroughly enjoy are Good Will Hunting and the Bourne Identity. I love the Departed, but Leo was also in that and did a better job IMO. DiCaprio has at least 6 movies I could watch over and over.

Leo didn't win me over until The Aviator. Don't really like Damon, but I would say, The Good Shepard was IMO his best

I think Damon could of pulled off Blood Diamond and Inception.
At the same time, Leo could not have pulled of The Bourne Trilogy.
Leo has had more highs in his career, but Damon has given a few brilliant performances. I think Leo is the better overall actor with more range.

Leo could not of pulled off the role of Bob Tenor!

That movie was terrible.
The first time I watched it, it was alright, but now it just seems ridiculous.

That's another thing about Damon. He seems like he'll do almost any movie he get's his hands on whether it's a lead role or a cameo, where as DiCaprio is much more selective. DiCaprio appears more focused on movie quality than Damon. Maybe I am way off base.

Matt Damon's performance in The Talented Mr. Ripley is underrated. Leo never convinced me as a tough guy, just doesn't have the look. His performance in The Departed was pretty good, he just didn't look like some punk off the street. He wasn't that great in Gangs of New York or Blood Diamond.

Yeah, I see what you are saying. But, it goes back to my original point about DiCaprio. It's not so much of him being a GREAT actor as much as it is the movies he does and the casts/people he is involved with. Leo has worked with Jack Nicholson, Tom Hanks, Daniel Day-Lewis, Gene Hackman, Johnny Depp, and Cate Blanchett just to name a few. And he has been directed by James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, and Tarantino. Guy is almost always surrounded by can't miss quality when involved in a film. I would like to see DiCaprio work with the Coen Brothers.

I hate Leo's acting, but he picks great movies to be in. I'll go with Leo.
Plus, ever since Matt did this little Jimmy Kimmel skit, I've kinda lost respect for him as an acclaimed actor.
I'm F*cking Matt Damon
