saw it tonight and loved it. One scene in particular made me laugh as hard as I have at a movie in a long time. Great movie, and will certainly rewatch it again.

Perusing this thread and I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet:

If the husband, Ke Huy Quan, seemed vaguely familiar, it may be because he played Short Round in Indiana Jones (Temple of Doom) and Data in The Goonies.

Absolutely spectacular. The levels of absurdity it reaches while still remaining grounded are incredible. This is one of the most original movies in a long time and I still can’t believe it works like it does. Hilariously bonkers and deeply emotionally grounded.

Just finished this. Wow. What a movie! This had every element I love. Heart.. Humor.. and I have a weird love for kung fu movies. 10/10 for me!

This was the stupiest, most incoherent, confusing mess I think I have ever sat through.

Gunsmoke or Little House on the Prairy might be more your speed. This movie was odd. Don't think my wife liked it all that much, but I thought it was a creative and fun ride.

Grear shows too btw.

So many people are putting it instantly in their top movies of all time. You don’t want to miss that possibility in theaters IMO.

I really enjoyed the movie, but this is a bit much.

I was impressed mostly at how long it probably took to shoot every scene required for this movie.

The edit cuts were amazing.

The scene where Racoontatouille made the dude start doing karate and pick up the knife cracked me up way more than it should have. The dude's facial expressions while this was going on cracked me up. Then all the funny drama after the racoon was captured.

?

And he seems to be one of the nicest, most humble and most greatful actors around.

He's on one of the episodes of Actors Rountable. Super nice guy.

I watched about half of it, planned on finishing it at some point, but haven't yet. It was interesting, but the eccentricity seemed to be a bit on the nose.

It’s the best movie of this decade so far in my opinion. Just a straight bonkers, creative, and original film despite using common scify tropes to tell a surprisingly small, grounded, relatable, and emotional story.
