One question: Was the deaf speedster using modern day sign language at the various ancient locations (Mesopotamia, Babylon, etc.)?
quote:I hate to defend anything about this movie, but using modern sign language in ancient Mesopotamia is no more ridiculous than their speaking English in that same setting.
She was using American Sign Language, as opposed to British Sign Language or Ausul which is Australian. The actress also created new signs for names and other things that had no equivalent in ASL.
Please return to trashing this horrible movie.

I watched this last night and was falling asleep mid way through. Really not an engaging movie at all. It reminds me of how unengaging the first two Thor movies were
Bland arse villain monster characters. The heroes were generally static and not particularly likeable. Boring super powers. The entire plot behind how the Eternals have gotten to where they are is super poor revisionist history of the MCU. And the director does a half arse job of including modern music into the movie in an attempt to half arse a James Gunn soundtrack
Generally feels like this movie should have been done in a different style by a different director. Maybe this director would have been great for a single main character driven story with an indie feel. But not this movie
