Erlich Bachman is the Best Character Currently on TV

Was never a huge TJ Miller fan before Silicon Valley, but he is now entering into Cosmo Kramer/Michael Richards land where every scene he's in he steals. Also, he is maybe the only current character who makes you routinley laugh aloud every episode.

Love how he is on the Pied Piper board and he is never sent materials for the meeting or anything.

His lines are very good...but his delivery is just killer.

He's the shite, but as long as Rick and Morty is on TV, he's not.

Roger from American Dad still gets my vote.

Is it just me or has he gained at least 15 pounds between every season? He's going to be a mall cop at this rate.

Him coughing/laughing/smoking/explaining last night was one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen

He really does have "it". The perfect encapsulation of dialogue and delivery that just nails what he is, and they are careful not to overload the show with it.

tonight's episode is just another example of this guy batting 1.000. He was probably only in 7 -10 minutes total and I laughed aloud at least 3 times. The juicer scene was the highlight, then the meeting with the reporter when he had the Stormtrooper doll was great too.
But what makes Miller's performance so good is his ability to take nothing and make it into something because of his delivery. Tonight when he says "I'll get the door" is a perfect example...This should be a total throw away line but his delivery/acting along with the robe, house shoes, etc, made me laugh. This guy should get an Emmy.

I'm actually more of a Martin Starr/Gilfoyle fan on the show.

I'm doing a rewatch of S1 and S2 with Mrs. Midnight - obviously, Erlich jumps out - and you're right, Miller is nailing the role, but on rewatch, do you know who else leaps out?
Matt Ross as Gavin Belson. He owns that character. I mean, the cast is outstanding, top to bottom (okay, maybe not Suzanne Cryer), but those 2 really leap out. And Middleditch was annoying to me the first time through - I see what he's doing now and he is perfect as Richard - I don't think anyone could handle the role better.

Was it really? This must a stoner type of thing, cause I thought it was silly. I just don't get the hype on this show. It's kind of funny at times and it's a pleasant watch. It's a lot like Entourage. It's not laugh out loud funny though and there aren't any outstanding performances. I think it's totally overrated on here and the two steps forward, one step back thing is getting old quick..

I was getting a little annoyed by this, but I actually think this season has addressed this better.
Erlich, though, is a terrible character and is meant to be, but I don't remember hating him as much as I do this season. He is utterly unlikeable. TJ Miller is doing a great job of being and asshat, but every time he is on screen I find myself wishing he wasn't.

Just started this series last night, love it from the beginning. Supposedly based off of this guy?

It has settled down some, but the whole CEO thing didn't make sense. Are we supposed to think that Richard should be the man in charge? The Gavin guy told him in the bathroom that he would have given him 250M if they hadn't gone to trial. Gavin loses the trial and Richard never told anybody that? His 1st act should have been telling the board and then selling to Hoolie for 250+. But he is hell bent on building a platform that he doesn't even know what it will do. It's just frustrating to watch guys bumble around without a clue and fall back arse wards into millions of dollars..

I have to admit that this is definitely my major complaint with the show. They can't let anything good happen to the guys without it being followed by a major setback. It just feels a bit forced and unnecessary.
Back to Erlich though, he killed it yesterday per usual. The last scene with all of them in the meeting with the journalist was perfect. He pops up out of nowhere, and my brother and I turn to each other saying we love how he's always there but never needed, then in the show Erlich says to Monica "Monica are you sure your presence is necessary at all these meetings"

They really need to utilize him more than fricking Richard this season. Erlich is always great and has amazing comedic timing.

He's great because they don't overdo it. Just like Gilfoyle.
