ER was the best balance of storyline, drama, and actual medicine of any tv show ever.

ER should also get credit in the first half of its run for addressing social issues from a non-preachy, non-SJW viewpoint. It showed alot of HIV positive gay men, gangbangers, addicts without stereotyping, generally.

Last, ER had a few knockout ladies. However many of the female characters were attractive, but also felt like real people you might meet, know, or hook-up with. They rarely casted the model type for significant roles.

I agree, but, I never watched ER so it's not a fully educated opinion.

As someone that watched and enjoyed both very much, ER is a vastly more complete and impactful drama.

There is a strong argument that House could be the best character between the two shows, maybe even one of the best ever, but the depth of ER makes it a much better show imo.

And House is probably one of the least realistic medical shows ever filmed, so the true to life medical drama mixed with the humanity of the people that live in that world, even if it becomes soapy, honestly puts it in another category from House all together.

ER is my favorite show of all time. So many great characters, so many gut wrenching moments. The first 8 seasons are great.

If i get a pet soon, his name will be Dr. Carter.

Again, very well said. Couldn’t agree more

I like your style, LGD

I had major crushes on Dr Del Amico, Lucy, and Abby Lockhart. And Nurse Hathaway had the timeless older wiser MILF vibe

Love’s Labor’s Lost is the best episode of er, and maybe one of the best drama episodes ever.

That's the Dr Greene emergency c-section episode on the eclampsia patient?

That was a huge episode. So much shite in that episode that is real. Heightened for drama but real. The point where everyone in the room loses their shite and it's chaos he yells for quiet. He even yells calmly. Then calmly rattles off orders. I've actually stolen that and used it in real situations. Not a doc but as the nurse just telling everybody to calm down and clarify what was said.

Him walking to tell the father that the wife died sweating through scrubs. Every time I broke a sweat in scrubs I think of that episode.

Grays anatomy is way better

Maybe for the first five or so seasons but it's gone completely off the rails to the point where it's a glorified soap opera and they're just recycling the same storylines with different characters each season.

Gotta be. One of my top 10 dramas period.

Was the first real drama series that I watched from start to finish as it aired.

I thought Green and Ross were both better

As did House. Most people will talk up 13, but Dr. Cameron was my fricking girl.
