I get it wouldn't be made by a big studio, it was Ben Stiller's production company though.
As we saw with Gilmore 2 guys like Stiller and Sandler can get anything made if they want to.

Unfortunately, the mid budget ensemble comedy has been dead in Hollywood since 2016. I hope the success of Bottoms and Naked Gun motivates studios to bring them back.
