Defend their culture? Really? Their culture is fictional Lego characters and comic book characters?
Because last time I checked just being white wasn't a cultural thing. There is a pretty big culture difference between white people from Wisconsin and white people from Louisiana. Irish are white, yet they are very different from the white people from England. So what culture exactly is people here trying to protect?

Normals. General public types who'll go watch a movie, or a show, then forget about it and move on. Not fans per se, but they're casually aware of basic pop culture stuff.
Furries would be on the opposite end of the spectrum. Weirdo fringe types who even board gamer nerds look down upon.

I like my explanation better. We, as America, need a bunch of people dressed up like Norm running around. It would make this a happier place. Needs some Cliffies as well.

And to the person saying I'm claiming white people aren't people, how did you jump to that from saying being white isn't a cultural thing? So if I had a white guy from New York, a white woman from Scotland, and another from Australia, they will all have similar culture and experience? shite take someone from New York, Texas, and California.

By this logic, there is no overarching culture for any particular race. Do you think the Japanese and Chinese share a common culture or language? What about South Korea and Vietnam? shite...Indians are Asian but have absolutely nothing in common with any of their neighbors. The Muslims of Indonesia have almost nothing in common culturally with the Muslims of Saudi Arabia.
This is why I think Race Theory and the focus on race is a total joke. In the Second World War, race wasn't about skin color to the Nazis and those who were allied with them. European Jews appear just as white as you or I.

Yes you are correct. There is no true overarching culture. People in Japan live very different lives of they grow up in a rural village versus living in Tokyo.
Now you can share some experiences. We're Americans. There is some very unique things that are shared by all American people. But you certainly can not say all Americans are the same cultural.
I'm proud to live in Louisiana because we have the most unique culture in America that makes us different from everyone else in America. We use French law, not English. We use Parishes instead of county. I've worked with people who spoke Cajun French. We have zydeco music and Creole food. It is so unique to us that trying to diminish it by just broad stroking "white people" over it is insulting.
