I'll watch this simply because they cast Johnny Depp.
That said, my metric for these movies is: if it isn't better than Muppet Christmas Carol, why did you do it? Hopefully this is the one that is finally better than that version.

I am really happy that Johnny is getting work again. It's a damn shame that Amber Heard was able to come so damn close to destroying Johnny's entire career. Would really love to see him in a new Pirates of The Caribbean movie.

I hate how digital and artificial it looks like every other movie that gets pushed out nowadays. Everything has been Instagram-ified.
It also has a super campy feel to it which doesn’t really feel reflective of the original story.

Nick Cage is the only one that comes to mind that is comparable. Depp is #1 for sure.
Jim Carrey gets a mention as well.
