"DE was hated until he became an old man"
I met him, he was an a-hole, but he never became an old man. Dead at 49 is young.
Met a bunch of drivers, Davey Allison was shy, soft spoken and as nice as they come.

Just finished first 2. It really shows what a shite heel he was both on and off the track
Not only that but he was a huge crybaby as well. Any time he was losing, especially to Fords, he would bitch and moan about an unfair advantage and then like clockwork NASCAR would adjust the rules soon after. NASCAR loved GM and he was the face of it. And before anyone says I'm full of shite, remember the bubble top GM cars ? In 1971 or 72 therabouts NASCAR outlawed small production aero cars because of what Ford and Chrysler were doing. Yet when the T Bird of the era were much better aerodynamically, they let GM make the bubble cars. And Dale was leading the charge on that one too. He loved knocking other drivers out of his way, yet he'd cry when they did it back. See Geoff Bodine.
As far as Theresa, best I remember she got everything after his death and immediately locked his kids out. She even got his race team which had JR as a driver.

My parents randomly loved Jeff Gordon back in the day. I say randomly because to my knowledge they never followed NASCAR before or after his run, but they were crazy into it when he drove.

Funny I had no idea he was such a shitty person. Is it a good watch for someone with no following of racing?

Yeah, she drove that team into the ground rather than let Jr and Kelley have any control. Not to mention not letting them visit their dad's grave.

Yeah Dale and Theresa were both shitty selfish human beings for sure. You can listen to drivers from that era talk about how Dale would wreck them on the track, and then put his arm around them in the garage and apologize. I really wish they hadn't gotten between him and Rusty that night he wrecked him.

Going into this thing with zero expectations...
Update: it’s a great watch if you’re interested at all with NASCAR.

Why is Theresa such a B about everything?
She monetized it is what I've heard. Want to see 3's grave, you've got to pay.

As far as I know there is no public access to his grave paid or not.
If there was there would still be hundreds of people going to see it. It is in a section of the property near the old DEI shop and very heavily guarded (multiple fences, cameras, etc.)

Yeah she doesn’t let anyone near it and prosecutes trespassers hardcore.
She has a bunch of Ralph Earnhardts stuff/trophies and won’t even let the family have it. Basically the stuff he got from Martha from Ralph, Teresa wouldn't even give back to Martha before she died.

Private viewings is what I read somewhere. Idk for certain. I'd never pay for something like that. It doesn't surprise that others would.

I think you heard some BS, his own kids aren't even allowed to visit. There are barely any pictures that exist of it. Most of them are from drones or trespassers. There would be more if people were paying to visit.
