Can't disagree there.

It's light-hearted political humor. He's taken shots at Bill Clinton, too. I don't see the problem.

His "shots" at Bill Clinton are hardly shots at his politics or views.

In any case, I really don't care that much. He's obviously absurdly one sided, but I don't think that has ever actually ruined an episode for me.

This, after seeing that episode, Family Guy doesnt seem funny to me anymore. Plus Seth's "views" being shoved down our throats got annoying.

I like American Dad alot, its kinda does like South Park and makes fun of everyone/thing.

Come on, man...some of them are great. Not sure how anyone can hate You've Got AIDS.

Also, people who basically hate FG because South Park told them to are annoying as frick.

Not a big Seth MacFarlane fan but I think American Dad is his most tolerable show.

I think American Dad is great because MacFarlane has little to do with it. He just stepped in, set up a shitty premise for a show and left the writing up to a very talented group. And they somehow turned a shitty premise into a very good show.

You're giving him no credit at all for American Dad. He still oversees scripts from them pretty often, just as he does with Family Guy. He has like 500 characters he voices there, too, so he's around the show plenty.

They share an office with Family Guy. It's not like he came up with the idea and then sold it to them never to be around it again.

Maybe I was a bit harsh, but they did change A LOT of the original material to get it to where it is now. And the writers will even make jabs at Seth's lack of involvement in the scripts. That may be lighthearted fun or a genuine gripe, I don't know, but I think it still shows that he's not as involved now as he was. And yeah he does a lot of voices but you can tell he's not that involved in the writing, it's just too much of a departure in style from everything else he's done.

"can't touch this" parody
bag of weed
Stewie's Brian Adams video (think about it every time i hear that song)

So does South Park not have a point? It's not because South Park told me to hate FG it's because it's the truth that's why that episode was funny. FG is ok not that great of a show.

Sounds like you're mad because he's been given a platform to mock religion, politics, family, and whatever the frick he pleases.

No, it's because he just keeps beating the same dead horse. I don't care that he hates republicans or whatever. He has every right to voice his opinion on that, it just comes across as lazy when like half of his material is political bashing. The funny thing to me is that it's only really been that way since fox brought the show back.

Half of his material? You're the person who is the subject of a joke and then you can't focus on anything else the show does.

Dude, I'm not even a republican. Maybe you're right about me not looking at the show without a little bias, but all in all I just don't think it's funny anymore because it preaches too much (through Brian.) Also, they've changed the characters waaaaay too much (IMO) in that Meg is strictly a punching bag, Chris is just barely a non-retard, Peter is a hyperbolic idiot, and Brian and Lois are just there to complain. The only even slightly funny one left is Quagmire. And even his blatant sex-crazed shtick has gotten pretty old.

How does my comment make you think I do whatever South Park says? I dont watch South Park that regularly nor am I a huge follower of South Park.

I simply said you should watch the episode. Does it not nail FG to a certain degree? Jesus, I thought the show was not that good before the South Park episode came out. I just thought it was hilarious when I saw it because it has some truth to it. Does it not? Some of you have your panties in a wad.

Back near the end of Bush's presidency and during the election, the pushing of his political agenda got a little old. He's been successful in getting his show to where it is and he certainly has a right to use that as a platform if he wants. But come on we get it Seth....republicans are evil and liberals/liberal ideas are the greatest things to ever grace the earth. I'll watch MSNBC if thats the entertainment I'm after. The last few years, he's finally gotten away from that and the show is better off for it.

I don't see how anyone watches any animated show after they leave college. I watched an episode of Family Guy one day, was at someone's house and they had it on. Just wasn't funny to me at all.
