looks like a good movie but that funky music in the trailer was distracting. QT really loves his 70's schtick

That line about getting paid to kill white folks... that's not acting.

Can't wait. It seems to have that classic QT feel. I'm interested to see how DiCaprio's is portrayed.

I predict DiCaprio's going to be this movie's biggest draw. He looks like he's hamming it up big time as the evil slaver and having a ball doing it, which is a departure from his usual morose roles. Gonna be great.

When I say "kill", you say "whitey". Kill!
Whitey!
Kill!
Whitey!

so I guess it's safe to say, this would be a movie in QT's world. Instead of it taking place in his world.

From IMDB

New Trailer at Comic Con

quote:

There will be a panel for Django Unchained at next month's Comic Con convention - as was already announced, in line with the trailer contest - but get this: QT will be be there to reveal something special. His own, freshly cut trailer for Django Unchained. Apparently he wasn't thrilled with the one the studio put out, compiled of footage from when shooting was only halfway complete, and feels it necessary to release one more in line with his vision and intentions for the film, going as far as to say, "Make no mistake about it; this film isn't a comedy, all right?"

Good to hear. I have no doubt that this movie is going to be awesome, but that trailer wasn't that promising. If I didn't know QT was behind it and it didn't have a badass cast, this would feel like a rental more than a midnight showing type movie.

It looks fantastic and expansive. There has always been screen chewers in Tarantino's films, and DiCaprio looks great. It's refreshing to see him in a role like this.

Not seeing what the big deal is about this movie. Seems to be your usual Tarentino movie filled with cartoon characters.

The big deal is that:

In case you haven't noticed, he's put out two classics (Pulp Fiction, Basterds), four great movies (KB1 and 2, Jackie Brown, Resevoir Dogs) and only one let down (Death Proof, which a lot of people liked but I thought sucked). With that history, I'm sure as shite not going to let a disappointing trailer stop me from being extremely excited about it. Not to mention Leo doesn't exactly have a history of choosing films poorly.
