i’ve been a disney defender but this movie is everything people complain about
Race swapping that doesn’t make sense
“reimagining” and classic story in a modern way that ruins it
PC to the gills

Yes. They were not. Disney originally dropped the idea of using dwarves at all. Then that image was released and they had to backtrack. Now we have CGI dwarves instead of dwarf actors.

Yup. Hollywood is going through a total 180 reverse back to reality and what makes money, however much they may despise having to do it. Failing to do so would collapse the entire industry and theatres would go bankrupt. It’ll take 2-3 years to be fully realized, and they’ll never admit openly their diversity drive was the biggest frick up in history in economic sense, but DEI is dead. You’re now hired if you can produce. That’s it. No one gives a shite about your unique queer pansexual perspective because it’ll make 25 million at the box office.
Colleges, corporations, etc are all dumping DEI. These “mass layoffs” are just them dumping all the DEI hires after Saint Floyd ascended and they are using economic headwinds as an excuse to not be sued by the most offended people in history.
We aren’t in the clear yet but culture is shifting back to a healthy spot.
