Moana 2 was not good. Just watched it this week and I cannot figure out why it wasn't a box office bomb. Story was very disjointed and it felt like we just suddenly "happened on" the ending. Huge drop-off from the original.

You can really see the elements of it that were there when it was going to be a Disney+ series. It was fine, but the first was far superior. Her crew was completely unnecessary in the movie. Just one example of what I mean. The whole big sis/little sis thing being another. These concepts both seem like things that would have been fleshed out in a series but carried no weight or value in the movie.

I didn't realize it was originally going to be a D+ series and now it being just mediocre as a movie makes sense. You are absolutely correct.

How do people in Disney’s film division keep their jobs? They’re lighting money on fire.

New film revenue is a minority of Disney's revenue. The board sees the losses as just the cost of projecting the messaging they want Disney to represent.

Stockholders had a chance a few years ago to overhaul the board by appointing what's his face who was attempting a conservative takeover but chose to keep the status quo.

No more Miranda. He is a very big part of the problem.

I think the only one on the drawing board was Tangled. I may be wrong though.

Moana live action starring The Rock, which has definitely not halted production.

Probably shouldn’t take them too seriously, judging by stock prices today as opposed to stock prices “years ago”.

Just like you.

As someone who likes to frequent the parks and hotels, it’s maddening to me that they’re absolutely fine with the studio flushing hundreds of millions down the toilet on bad projects no one asked for while at the same time they budget cut the parks.

It’s crazy to me that they were fine giving a complete nobody $180 million to do The Acolyte but yet neglected the parks for years until the recent D23 announcements, and they’ve pushed out some hotel refurbishments.

You dont agree that trolls have ruined ratings systems? There's a reason imdb and rotten tomatoes have had to implement methods to prevent people from review bombing or just rating shows in general before they even air

Go look at the newest episode of the last of us. There are people still voting 1/10 because they didnt like what happened in the video game 5 years ago.

This came out on Disney+ today. My wife put it on because she was gonna hate watch it. She made it five minutes before she turned it off and went and did laundry. You know a movie is bad if my wife would rather do laundry.
