After announcing Bobba Fett would be appearing in the Mandalorian, they have now cast Timothy Olyphant to an unknown role:

Cad Bane will be hard to pull off in Live Action and unless there’s canon out there that says otherwise, he’s probably dead.

Thrawn is a natural choice given his frame, but Thrawn has the English accent that might hard for him to pull off.

They aren't farting around when it comes to casting guest stars for Mandolorian. I mean who would have thought we would get Werner Herzog and Bill Burr in Star Wars?
