One of the scariest moments in cinema in my opinion, in Jurassic Park where the T-Rex is attempting to get Tim and Lex. Zero background music, just the sound of teeth on metal and plastic, and the jaws chomping at them. About as real as it gets. Great FX too.

this show is pretty terrible
the dialogue is poorly written, the delivery is bad (sorry Morgan freeman) and the story is disjointed and haphazard
it’s neither a good history nor a good drama while trying to be both
“It’s not bloodlust it’s just plain lust”

So seriously, explain it to me like I'm 5 years old. How do some of you wake up and get to the point of wanting to inject politics in any discussion about anything.

I’ve always desired to have a kind, gentle black man teach me about a species that never existed. Will watch.

Some of the CGI and effects were very good, but some was extremely poor.
It was a decent watch, but I think Prehistoric Planet is the much better speculative Dinosaur “nature documentary”.

I watched the first episode with my son yesterday, and thought it was just sort of okay.
I'll watch the rest of it, because dinosaurs, but the first one was sort of disappointing a little. Morgan Freeman does sound super old, but I don't care...it's still soothing to the core.
Watching it gave me big time "Walking With Dinosaurs" vibes, from like 25 years ago. (Actually looked, and it was 1999...wow). That show was badass at the time.

Hilarious they are able to market it as a documentary when it's clearly mostly fiction

quote:I made it thru the first episode and half the second when I had to turn it off. Respect the hell out of Morgan Freeman who was for decades a top notch narrator, but…this is not soothing to me. He sounds like he’s about the keel over. And it doesn’t help matters that whoever wrote the script is likely retarded. As said above prehistoric planet is way better than this.

if you have kids they’ll love it. If you are looking to learn something this ain’t it

To think that they can reconstruct day-to-day behavioral activity from an animal extinct hundred million plus years ago is hilarious.

Because that's what Netflix does, and we're discussing a Netflix show.

It’s a Catch 22 in some respects, getting grant money from established sources or go the private sector route.
I see a case for both sides.

Very disappointed in this. Struggled through two episodes then skipped most of the third. For the last episode I just skipped to any scenes with the asteroid.
Like others said, it was a bad cross between some history and some soap opera for dinosaurs. Most of the time I kept thinking, “They don’t know if any of this is true. They’re just making it up.”
