I think Guy keeps it interesting and he can be pretty funny. The man is a self made success story and that get my respect. He is from Cal though so hes guaranteed to be a little different.

If the douche didn't dye his tips, be clad in tribal tattoos and wear his sunglasses on the back of his head, I wouldn't. These are all conscious decisions.....of the Genus Douche.

Way to make broad assumptions about someone due to a few appearance quirks.

I've been to Doumar's in Norfolk, VA. Wasn't as good as I expected it to be but the shakes were money.

I can dig the show...love seeing some of the unique spots in cities I visit often like Chicago,NYC and Nashville on top of putting some of my hometown Cleveland spots on the map

Thanks for the link!

I love the show, especially when they'll show four or five hours of it straight through. Nothing better to have on when working around the house or surfing the net.

He worked his butt off for other people for years and finally opened his own places. You can tell he spent all that time in the kitchen when he's talking with the cooks about doing things from scratch. He let's the audience know when people are doing more than what the average place does.

Thank God The Food Network gave him this avenue. I like his show where he cooks too. I hate the cooking competition shows so his shows are nearly the only things on there that I'll watch.

Exactly. People should know a little backstory before they pass judgement.

Been to Silver Gulch in Fairbanks. Didn't know it at the time, but I have a rather strange connection to the owner. It started as a micro brewery.

I didnt disparage his accomplishments, he's a self made guy, who's achieved awesome success. He's got the second best job in the country behind Anthony Bourdain. His Cali beach guy with a splash of Jersey Shore just gets overdone sometimes.
