how much Matthews knew about Dexter
They hinted and hinted that Matthews knew a lot more about Dex's fathers death and about Dex and never did shite about it. frick this show runner in the face.

Are you kidding me? What in the ENTIRE hell? I instantly deleted this off of my DVR for fear it would make every other recording I had on it 8 years worth of wasted time. How this episode wasn’t titled “Hey fans, thanks. Also, frick you.”, I have no idea.

I didn't even think that through that far(neither did the writers) but you're exactly right. There'd be mass hysteria over Hannah kidnapping Harrison.
No shite, Elway wasn't dead just knocked the frick out, first thing he's going to do is alert people that Hannah is on the run with Dex's kid. It gets worse the more I think about it.

Watched the finale last night. Not impressed but its over and there is nothing I could do about it. It was a weak ending.

I'm seriously still really pissed off about this.
How does that even happen?

I'm curious about that as well.

I knew the season was going to be crap when they skipped entirely over the LaGuerta thing. It's rare when a show devises the setup for a perfect (or at least really good) final season for itself and then completely disregards it. And it's doubly rare when two or three different popular fan endings are not only better but head and shoulders above what we got.
The only possible silver lining is that the ending was so bad that Michael C. Hall's professional pride is wounded enough by the reaction that he decides to do a two hour Showtime wrap up movie with the "real" ending.

Surely there will be a movie or something/ Know way they can leave off like that.

Letting Dexter live and Miami PD just accepts he's dead, he kills Deb and takes her out of the hospital unnoticed, no one seems to notice she's disappeared from the hospital, Hannah has kidnapped Harrison and its just a ho hum deal makes for the worst finale I have ever seen.

this would have redeemed everything

Please no movie. Or if a movie does happen, just make it a comedy.

Opening scene: Slow pan across the plastic sheets, knives, and other implements of a killroom, then to Dexter mocking, "Look at what you did!" finally revealing the log strapped to his table, Dexter's picture above it. "You fell in the forest, but I was there to hear you." He plunges the knife in about half an inch, but no sap comes out. "It's just not the same." Then he wakes up from his multi-season nightmare of exploring his humanity like some half-arse Data, relieved to find he's still the creepy, funny monster of Season 2. The End.

Possibilites are endless for a Lumberjack Dexter comedy. We need to add Creeper Harry as a logger too.

The picture of that ending just makes me so angry.

"Dexter..have you already forgotten the code?
Lift those logs using your legs, not your back. They're quite heavy."

Really think the creative minds of the Movie board should unite for a Dexter comedy screenplay.

I'm finally getting around to watching it. Turrible
Posted on 9/25/13 at 3:56 pm to CaptainPanic
I watched this last night. I feel like the producers, writers, and directors all just pointed and laughed at me after 8 years.
Horrible.
